The girls in Mr Wilson's class were inspired by the terrible weather, and decided to conduct experiments to test the waterproofing effectiveness of various materials.
We tested tinfoil, cling film, paper, and greaseproof paper to see which ones prevented the water from permeating through.
We found that the greaseproof paper was the most effective material at repelling the water. However, I think we'll stick to our cosy raincoats. I don't think a coat made from greaseproof paper would win any fashion awards!
