We had a great time celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge this week.
On Monday, we went to yard and learned the dance to the song ‘Shoe the Donkey’.We performed ‘Lámh, lámh eile’ for some of the school.
On Tuesday, we were allowed to wear green! We went outside and listened to Mr O Keefe and Mr Wilson playing Irish songs for us. Mr O Keefe played Molly Malone and we sang the chorus. Mr Wilson played The Coal Quay Market Song which was a funny song about an old shirt.
Then, we took part in our Seachtain na Gaeilge flash mob! We sang Maidrín Rua with the whole school and we had such a great time. Thank you to Mr O Keefe and Mr Wilson for a great Seachtain na Gaeilge.
