Science Week - Ms Hayes’ Junior Infants

We had great fun carrying out a very colourful experiment for science week.

We placed skittles on a plate and covered them in water. We predicted what we thought might happen.

We learned that skittles have a sugar coating. Sugar dissolves in water, and that is why the colours ‘run away’ from the skittles. We were so excited to see the colours dance around the plate!
