4th Class Fun with Homemade Play-Doh! 🎨🔬
Today in science, we got hands-on with a super fun experiment—making our very own homemade Play-Doh! Using simple ingredients from the kitchen—flour, oil, salt, and water—we mixed up soft, squishy dough. But the real magic happened when we added food colouring and explored colour theory to create a huge variety of shades!
We experimented by mixing primary colours to discover how secondary colours are made. Some of us even tried making pastels and marbled effects! 🎨
Once our colourful Play-Doh was ready, Mr. Wilson challenged the girls with build tasks, encouraging them to create unique sculptures. From towering structures to tiny intricate designs, everyone let their creativity run wild!
Of course, we made a bit of a mess (okay, maybe a lot of a mess!), but that’s just part of the fun of learning through hands-on science. More importantly, we explored measurements, mixtures, textures, and chemical reactions—all key scientific concepts wrapped up in a playful, engaging activity.
