Planting seeds in 4th Class
4th class made the most of the beautiful weather, and the award winning school garden today. We asked our resident gardening expert Kay about what the best seeds to plant would be, and she recommended beetroot, carrots, and radishes. We got the seeds, and planted them in small pots to germinate in our greenhouse. Once the seeds have sprouted, we will transfer them to the ground, so they can join the very impressive school garden.
We had been growing potatoes in our classroom plant pot, but it grew too big to prosper in the classroom, therefore we replanted the potato, which we nicknamed "Joxer" outside in the garden. We covered it in special mesh to protect it from the elements, and the crows, who would make short work of our beloved potato plant!
