Senior infants are having a blast in Maths! They're diving into the world of patterns, exploring how shapes and colours can repeat in fun ways. They're also learning about capacity by comparing different containers and figuring out which holds more or less. The girls have been practicing how to make 10 and played a really fun partner game where one player shows a certain amount of fingers up eg 7, and the other player has to show the amount of fingers to make 10 in total eg 3 more (see video for context!) The highlight of their learning has been playing shop, where they practice using money and making transactions, enhancing their understanding of value. Plus, they're enjoying various maths games that help reinforce their number skills in an engaging and playful manner. It's a great way to make learning enjoyable and interactive!
