Japan - 6th Class
30th Apr 2024
Over the past fortnight 6th class have been learning about Japan in many different subjects.
In English, we read about the Japanese fable ‘The Shining Princess’ and a non-fiction text informing us about Japan and Japanese culture. We also wrote letters and created comic strips based on the story of the Shining Princess.
In History, we learned about Japan’s involvement in World War II.
In Art, we created Ainme and Manga characters and used these skills to help with our comic strips. We also created Cherry Blossom art pieces.
In Geography, we researched different topics based on Japan and complied our research into posters which we presented to the class.
To finish off the topic, we tasted some sushi! Some controversial opinions here!
