Well done to all the pupils and teachers who participated in the Incredible Edibles programme this year.
We completed five tasks throughout the year, learning about food origin, food labels and how to plant vegetables. We planted potatoes, spinach, lettuce, chives, turnip, carrots and our strawberry plant.🥬🍓🥔
We made QR codes so that pupils visiting the garden could scan and research each item. At the end of the year, we harvested our goods and we were delighted with the results.
A huge emphasis is put on the model we follow in Beaumont 'Grow, Cook, Eat'. We learned how to make smoothies, salads, soups and more.🥗🧋
All our hard work resulted in a Gold Award for Beaumont Girls School but even more importantly, the children finished the year with a wealth of gardening knowledge! Well done again to all involved!!
