In our 4th class classroom, the girls have been playing a card game called "Race to 100" to help develop their numeracy skills. Each player takes turns drawing a card and adding its value to their total, aiming to reach exactly 100 without going over. Some cards have special rules, such as "Bankrupt" cards that reset a player's score for the round, adding an element of strategy and excitement.
This game helps children improve their mental maths, decision-making, and understanding of probability in a fun and engaging way. It encourages them to think critically about numbers while making learning enjoyable. Games like this support our goal of making maths interactive and accessible for all students.
