First Round of 4th Class’ Conker Competition!
The girls in Mr Wilson’s 4th class practiced their accuracy and determination today, as the first round of the Conker competition took place!
The Conker competition was a tradition that Mr Wilson enjoyed from his childhood growing up and going to school in Crosshaven, and the girls were dying to try it!
The girls collected the conkers themselves from our beautiful garden and woodland, and they were all put on strings by Mr Wilson and Sharon, our SNA.
The majority of the girls had never even heard of conkers, so it was brilliant to try something new!
After learning how to play conkers, the girls were given their first opponent, and battled hard during big lunch today! Surprisingly, no one was eliminated!!
We will see what conkers survive tomorrow, and live to see the quarter finals!!
