Baking Scones in Mr Wilson's 4th Class
Today was a real treat for Mr. Wilson’s 4th Class – they spent the morning learning to bake delicious scones! Our young bakers rolled up their sleeves, put on their aprons, and got busy mixing, rolling, and baking scones right here in our classroom.
The students learned all about measuring ingredients, mixing the dough, and kneading it to just the right texture. We learned all about the 'rubbing in method' of making scones. Not only did the children improve their baking skills, but they also practiced teamwork, taking turns, and following instructions carefully.
The room was filled with the warm, mouth-watering smell of fresh scones baking in the oven, and the excitement was as high as the rising dough! Once out of the oven, everyone had the chance to enjoy their tasty creations, with a little butter to top things off.
Take a look at some of our photos from the experience!
Who knows – maybe we have some future chefs in our midst! Stay tuned to see what they whip up next!
