Baking in Mr Wilson's 5th Class

The girls in Mr Wilson's 5th class explored some of the traits of 'procedural writing', and the best way to learn is by doing! We wrote a recipe for delicious shortbread biscuits and then baked them and iced them afterwards. The smell permeated each room in our school. There really is nothing like the smell of freshly baked biscuits! 

The girls were kind enough to share their biscuits with the teachers, and of course enjoyed them themselves. 

What a successful experience of procedural writing!
