Mr Wilson's 4th class had great fun creating depictions of Autumn by using fabric this week.
We began by looking at the concept of collage, and analysing and reflecting on examples. We decided to use the theme of "Autumn" , inspired by the beauty we witness on our journey to school each day.
Our first step was to sketch out our template with pencil. Then, we collected various fabrics and cut them to size. We spoke about the concept of "abstract" art, and chose alternative colours and patterns. We had freedom of choice and expression and had great artistic experimentation.
