This week, we started Aistear. This is where we learn through play by partaking in different stations each day.
Our theme of the month is ‘All About Me’. Here were some of our stations this week:
- Art Station: We were really lucky to have Caroline help us with some beautiful self portraits!
- Construction Station: We made our own jigsaws filled with facts and pictures of things about us and what we like.
- Activity Station: Here, we completed an ‘All About Me’ worksheet. This included our favourite colours, our birth months and a picture of ourselves.
- Roleplay Station: We received cards with emotions displayed on them. We acted out these emotions and our friends guessed the emotions!
1st class stations: 1st class took part in differentiated stations. They had so much fun!
- Activity Station: They received worksheets where they had to fill out their likes and interests.
- Investigation Station: Here, we used our Explorers workbooks to find out interesting facts about each other.
- Creative Station: We created our own family trees including different members of our families. We learned that all families are different.
- Art Station: We also enjoyed taking part in the ‘Self Portrait’ station with Caroline creating some funky self portraits!
