The girls in Mr Wilson's 4th class were very lucky to receive a visit from Mr Matthias Bergmann from Stryker today.
The girls have been busy learning how to 3D design using the Tinkercad program, and print their designs using Beaumont GNS's very own 3D printer.
Matthias spoke about the work of Stryker, and how they are creating fascinating and life changing implants using their special 3D printers.
Matthias described the idea generation process to the girls, and spoke about how to enhance their designs using ergonomics and sustainable ideas.
The girls in 4th class are creating TOP SECRET designs at the moment for the Stryker and I-Form 3D printing competition. They learned lots of tips from Matthias, and will be busy adapting their ideas to incorporate what they have learned.
