4th Class become 1st Years for a Day!
Today, our 4th class had an amazing adventure at Coláiste Éamann Rís – one of our local secondary schools! π«β¨ The students got a sneak peek into life in big school and even tried their hands at some exciting secondary school subjects. Here’s what we got up to:
π₯ Science – Playing with Fire!
In the science lab, we lit things on fire (safely, of course!) and learned all about chemical reactions. The children were fascinated by flames changing colors, and using microscopes to see cells! π§ͺπ₯
πΆ Woodwork – Building Boats!
In the woodwork room, our carpenters used real tools to build their own wooden boats! π οΈπ€ There were saws, drills, and a lot of concentrated faces as they crafted their masterpieces!
πΆ Music – Rocking the Room!
Next stop – the music room! π΅πΈ The children got to play a variety of instruments! It was a full-blown jam session, and we might have some future rockstars in the making! π€π€
πͺ Home Economics – Baking Magic!
Finally, in home economics, wer rolled up our sleeves and got messy in the kitchen! π¨π³π©π³ We baked delicious cookies from scratch and (the best part) got to eat them all at the end! πͺπ
It was a fantastic day, and the children loved every minute of it! A huge thank you to all the teachers and staff at Coláiste Éamann Rís for welcoming us so warmly. π Who knows? Maybe in a few years, we’ll see some of our students walking these halls for real!
